There is beyond eroticismperhaps no shoe as contentious as the Croc. Say what you want about the way they look (and yes, the company that makes Crocs is aware they're not exactly beautiful), but there's no denying that the shoe is comfortable and functional.
SEE ALSO: At long last, we know the 4 words every girl wants to hearIn fact, one Florida teen realized that Crocs were the perfect footwear for graduation. Sarah Agee of Seminole High School told the Tampa Bay Times that the school required girls to wear "white or light-colored shoes" to graduation. When one of her classmates had concerns about wearing heels, Agee proposed Crocs.
The, uh, stylish rubber sandal is more meme than model these days, but since debuting in 2002 at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in Florida, Crocs have ridden a huge wave of popularity and have now become staples of beach life and warm weather.

Sure enough, Agee racked up the 2018 retweets and Crocs made good on its promise, sending 124 pairs of white Crocs to the school.
Agee posted pictures of her friends wearing their shoes. Here they are marching in action.
Per the Tampa Bay Times, Agee said that her legacy at school is "the Croc girl." Honestly? There are far worse things to be remembered for.
