There were plenty of memorable characters in WestworldSeason 1 -- but Watch The Silencing Onlineone guest star made a huge impression on viewers despite only appearing in a few scenes, and it looks like the showrunners were paying attention.
Louis Herthum, who played Peter Abernathy -- the "father" of Evan Rachel Wood's Dolores -- in Season 1, has been promoted to series regular status for Season 2, Mashablehas confirmed.

Later in the season, after Peter was decommissioned, Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson) attempted to upload 35 years' worth of stolen park data into the host in order to sneak him out of Westworld on the monorail -- but this plan was derailed by the hosts' uprising. Where is Peter now, and how much does he know? That's a mystery for Season 2.
Herthum has appeared in countless TV and film projects over his decades-long career, including Longmire,True Bloodand Murder, She Wrote, but Westworldwill mark the 60-year-old's first series regular role.
