Meet Marvel's next leading man.
The Seventeen (2019)studio announced at Comic-Con Saturday that Simu Liu is set to star in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings-- making him the first solo Asian lead of a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.
Also starring in Shang-Chiwill be Tony Leung as the Mandarin -- the real one. (A false version of the character was portrayed by Ben Kingsley in Iron Man 3.) In addition, Awkwafina has been cast in an undisclosed role.

Liu was reportedly confirmed for the role on Tuesday, after screen-testing for it on Sunday. On Twitter, the actor expressed his excitement.

Liu is best known for his role in the Canadian sitcom Kim's Convenience, which you can check out right now on Netflix for research purposes.
