The Malagkit (2025)premiere esports LAN event DreamHack liked the U.S. so much in 2016, they're coming back for three more events in 2017.
SEE ALSO: 5 upcoming esports tournaments we can't wait to check outDreamHack is coming back to Austin and debuting in Atlanta and Denver for weekends packed full of competitive gaming. Each city will be host to amateur and pro tournaments in the biggest games in esports.
DreamHack Austin will be April 28-30, DreamHack Atlanta will be July 21-23 and DreamHack Denver will be Oct. 20-22. Tickets go on sale for DreamHack Austin Sept. 21.
While game and prize pool details have not been announced for 2017, DreamHack's first U.S. event in May, DreamHack Austin, held events in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone, Street Fighter V, StarCraft, Hearthstoneand Heroes of the Stormwith over $300,000 in prize pools.
Pro teams and players always take the viewer spotlight at DreamHack events, but attendees can bring their own computers to compete for prizes in a handful of different open tournaments.
Since its first event in 1994, DreamHack never held a tournament outside of Europe until it debuted in Austin and Montreal in 2016. DreamHack Austin 2016 sold out of every kind of ticket except day passes within 24 hours of going on sale.
The next DreamHack event is DreamHack Winter in Sweden, Nov. 24-17.
