Former president George H.W. Bush died on live video sexSunday, but his service dog Sully H.W. Bush is still on duty and heavily mourning his loss.
A moving photograph posted to Sully's Instagram account on Sunday shows him lying on the ground in front of his owner's flag-covered casket, and oh my gosh he's just the best boy.

Captioned, "Mission complete" by Bush's former spokesman Jim McGrath, the photograph served as a heartbreaking farewell between Bush and Sully, who the former president began working with after his wife Barbara Bush died earlier this year. He's named after the heroic pilot Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III.
After Bush is laid to rest, Sully will go on to help other veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, according to CNN. George W. Bush also shared the touching photograph to Instagram, explaining, "As much as our family is going to miss this dog, we're comforted to know he'll bring the same joy to his new home, Walter Reed, that he brought to 41."

In the days following Bush's death, many people have been grappling with his controversial legacy — noting that he played a role in the 1980s AIDS crisis that killed more than 100,000 Americans, stood by during Anita HIll's sexual harassment accusations and trial, and was recently accused of sexual harassment himself.
Though no matter what your feelings towards the former president are, everyone can agree his service dog is an absolute angel.
