BTS has made their vacation official, eroticizing the rural and the ARMY is being super-chill about it.
It's been rumored/known for several weeks that the band had a two-month break coming, said to kick off after an Aug. 11 performance in South Korea and conclude on Oct. 11 with a scheduled show in Saudi Arabia. Now, the label that manages BTS, Big Hit Entertainment, has confirmed the vacation.

"This period will be an opportunity for the members of BTS ... to recharge and prepare to present themselves anew as musicians and creators," the letter reads. "This will also provide them with a chance to enjoy the ordinary lives of young people in their 20s, albeit briefly."
The letter suggests that each member of the band will spend their time off in different ways, and it makes one request of fans: just let them be. "Should you have a chance encounter with a member of BTS while they are on vacation, we ask that you show consideration for their need to rest and enjoy their private time off."
BTS fans -- collectively known as the ARMY -- are numerous, and they love hard. But if you've spent any time paying attention to the fandom online, you know their love is a pure one. If any fandom is going to respect such a request for privacy, it's this one.
The break makes sense, too. The band has been going non-stop for most of the past year, with back to back tours running from Aug. 2018 to April 2019 and then from May 2019 to July 2019. What's more: the band formed all the way back in 2013. I can't personally speak to any breaks they've taken in the time since, but the letter notes that they're taking a vacation "for the first time since their debut(!)" That's a whole lot of time for anyone to spend in the spotlight.
The letter doesn't say outright when the band will be back, but the next show on Big Hit's official schedule is indeed the Oct. 11 performance in Saudi Arabia.
While certain members of the band will likely be somewhat active and present online given their social media habits, this break is very real. The ARMY is taking it in stride, too, populating a #RestWellBTS hashtag with words of encouragement for the hard-working K-Pop sensation.

This is the purest, sweetest fanbase. Rest well, BTS. Get ready for the biggest homecoming party when you come back.
