At long last,Watch Nice Sister Samsung has put the Galaxy S8 rumors to rest.
At its unveiling event on Wednesday, Samsung rolled out its latest flagship phones, the Galaxy S8 and S8+, along with some other super cool new hardware including Samsung DeX, a redesigned Gear 360 camera, a Gear VR controller and more.
But perhaps most importantly, Samsung finally told the world how much the new mobile devices will cost — and it'll cost you more than the iPhone.
SEE ALSO: The Galaxy S8's fingerprint sensor sure looks like it's in a terrible spotThe Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are the first major Samsung phones to launch since the infamously explosion-prone Galaxy Note 7 devices, which led two global recalls and were eventually discontinued.
Both phones will feature Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 835 system-on-a-chip (SoC), 4GB of RAM and run Android 7.0 Nougat with a redesigned TouchWiz skin, which means faster and more efficient performance is in store.
The devices will be available in a variety of fun colors like midnight black, orchid gray and arctic silver in the U.S. Maple gold and coral blue will also be options in South Korea.
Here's a price breakdown for individual carriers:
The Galaxy S8 will be available for $30 per month for 24 months at a retail price of $720. The Galaxy S8+ will be $35 per month for 24 months at a retail price of $840.
AT&T customers can get the Galaxy S8 for the total price of $750 or the S8+ for $850 total. The company will charge $25 per month for 30 months, for the S8, and $28.34 for the S8+.
The Galaxy S8 will be available at a retail price of $750. It will have a $30 down payment and cost $30/month for 24 months on the T-Mobile Equipment Installment Plan. On Demand customers can snag the device for $0 down and payments of $33/month.
The S8+ will be available at a retail price of $850, with $130 down and $30/month for 24 months on the Equipment Installment Plan.
The Galaxy S8 will be available for MetroPCS customers starting April 21 for $729.
Other retailers:
If you're into deals you might also want to consider purchasing the S8 or S8+ from Best Buy store as opposed to a mobile carrier.
A representative from Best Buy told Mashablethe store is offering customers "up to $100 off" new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ provided they pre-order.
"Customers can also layer our deal with Samsung’s Gear VR offer and select carrier offers. Samsung’s offer includes a free Gear VR with controller and $50 bonus Oculus content with pre-order and qualified activation of the Galaxy S8 or S8+."
