Uber,Watch Lost Bullet Online the ride-hailing company of our future, has a new leader.
Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Expedia, will now be serving as Uber's CEO, after former CEO and co-founder Travis Kalanick was ousted in June following multiple controversies at the company including allegations of stolen proprietary technology.

But for the internal operations, it means Uber, the ride-hailing app that thousands of people have used, is led by someone. Instead of being led by executives who had allegedly stolen medical records from a former rider, it will now be led by someone who will, hopefully, lead the company forward without such controversial entanglements.
Khosrowshahi was a previously unnamed contender. But he does have impressive credentials. He served at Expedia for more than a decade.
Before the decision, it was understood that former CEO of General Electric Jeff Immelt, and Meg Whitman, formerly CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, were in the running for the Uber CEO job. But Immelt apparently dropped out Sunday, tweeting his decision.

"The Board has voted and will announce the decision to the employees first," an Uber spokesperson wrote in an emailed statement, according to Recode.
A Bloombergreporter confirmed that Khosrowshahi accepted the job late Sunday.
