LONDON -- You might not immediately recognise singer-songwriter Emmi,Philippines Archives but if you've watched Fantastic Beaststhen you'll know her voice.
You'll have seen her, too -- in a sense.
"I am essentially a jazz singing goblin in a sparkly dress," Emmi explained to Mashableduring a Facebook Live interview on Wednesday. "I sing a song that J.K. Rowling wrote in the film, as said goblin, in this speakeasy called The Blind Pig."

Emmi has been living in the UK for around nine years, but she's originally from Australia. She was on a two-week holiday Down Under when she got a call from someone at Abbey Road asking her to record a strange song.
"I had a little look at the lyrics and there were just, you know, some strange creatures in there -- Hippogriffs and Billywiggs -- and I'm like, this is no ordinary job," grinned Emmi.
Emmi sent her recording back in August last year. In April 2016, she was called in for a motion capture session and met with Fantastic Beastsdirector David Yates.
"That's when I realised that a) the song is going to be used with my voice on it, and b) that I was going to be init, giving inspiration to the movement of the character," said Emmi. "So I found out that day."
You can watch some of Emmi's performance as the dancing goblin in the soundtrack trailer below.
Emmi saw herself as the singing goblin for the first time at the film's premiere. She said the whole experience was kind of fuzzy.
"I need to go and see it again because I was just so overwrought with it all!" Emmi said. "It's just such a magnificent production, and I've had the pleasure of sitting in on scoring sessions and stuff. So once you know how much mastery goes into a film like that it's almost overwhelming.
"I want to watch it a few more times when I'm at home in my PJs."
"Blind Pig" is available on the Fantastic Beasts soundtrack, which is out now on iTunes and Spotify.
