For most people8 U.S.C 2257 receiving a message from someone you once told "fuck you" is basically your worst nightmare. But Billy Eichner isn't most people.
During an episode of Billy on the Street back in 2010, the notoriously blunt comedian offered up a pretty quick response to a woman when asked why she couldn't go watch Sex and the Citythat weekend. She had a good excuse, though: she was getting married that weekend. Nonetheless, Eichner wasn't having any of it.
"Fuck you," he said, immediately walking away.
ICYMI here's the video of the moment:
Nine years later, the woman sent Eichner a message. He posted a screenshot of the message on Instagram, declaring: "This is so lovely. I had to share. Swipe thru! Sometimes people are cool (especially New Yorkers)."
"Hi Billy! Not sure if you would remember me, but I was on one of your first Billy on the Streetepisodes that went viral," she began.
She went on to say she'd been to see The Lion King with her now-husband and their four kids.
"Everyone loved it and your character was definitely the highlight," she wrote.
"Just for fun I told my husband that I would reach out to you to see if you would remember that day. No grudges and I still look up that video from time to time when I need a good laugh," she wrote.
"Happy to see your career has flourished and wishing you all the best," she continued.
