Apple is Rebecca Love - Bewitched Housewives (2007)getting into the TV business, but not the kind of TV that's taking over digital platforms. As the company ventures into original content, Bloombergreports that Apple's programming will look a lot more like network TV – a.k.a. no violence or nudity.

"Apple isn’t interested in the types of shows that become hits on HBO or Netflix, like Game of Thrones — at least not yet," Bloombergreports. "The company plans to release the first few projects to everyone with an Apple device, potentially via its TV app, and top executives don’t want kids catching a stray nipple. Every show must be suitable for an Apple Store...People pitching edgier fare, such as an eight-part program produced by Gravityfilmmaker Alfonso Cuarón and starring Casey Affleck, have been told as much."
While this may seem like a conservative move in the 2017 television landscape, but Recodenotes that could be a smart move from Apple. After all, HBO and major streaming services sort of have a lock on battle violence and on-screen sex, so why enter the fray pitted against giants like Game of Thrones?
Amazon is struggling in the original content arena; Yahoo failed to make waves. Netflix is dominating, with Hulu on its heels, and until now Apple has only supplied the technology to make those content providers more ubiquitous.
So bring on the wholesome content, Apple. We wish you well. If not, we'll just rewatch Game of Thrones.
